1970 Buick

GS 350

Description

If you're not a Buick fan, this Tribute 1970 GS 350 may very well make you a convert. I don't care who you are, you simply have to respect a car that keeps such a low profile on the street yet brings plenty of performance and includes luxury options like factory A/C.
This Tribute Grand Sport is quite straight and the low-profile color helps keep it under the radar. This one has seen some use, but still looks fantastic with great lines and an unmistakable A-body profile that will never go out of style. Those two nostrils on the hood are fully functional, feeding the stout Buick 350 underneath, and the blacked-out front grille looks awesome in contrast. Buick kept enough chrome on the GS to remind you that they were all about luxury performance, and it is all in excellent shape. Correct red GS badges have been installed wherever appropriate. Adding a little bit of color to the otherwise monochromatic body are the GS rocker moldings which feature red stripes to match the GS badges.
Inside, there's a dark brown vinyl interior that has been as well restored as the body. The seats have fresh covers with factory-correct patterns and detailing, the carpets are recent with the correct nap. Door panels, the dash pad, and even the headliner are good. A fat leather-wrapped steering wheel feels great in your hands. From behind the wheel, there isn't much to remind you that you're in something special, but it takes little more than a quick squeeze of the throttle to understand why the GS Buicks were both admired and feared on the street.
The reason? 350 cubic inches of Buick under the hood. Buick engine bays are special, with red engines, chrome valve covers, and that unique dual-snorkel air cleaner that feeds the 4-barrel underneath. The chassis is solid, although not detailed for show, and there's no evidence of structural damage. A TH350 3-speed automatic is ready, willing, and able, and thanks to a heavy-duty suspension, it hooks up better than its softly-sprung Skylark brothers. Exhaust gives it a predatory growl, but with the Buick engine it has a sound all its own. And no hot-rod Buick is complete without a set of handsome Rally's.
If you're a Buick guy, this is one of the coolest cars of the muscle car era, and it has the credentials to make the most of its low-profile look. Better yet, it's available for a fraction of the price of its Chevy and Pontiac cousins. Call today!
