Stock Number: 2020 - 1980 Pontiac Trans AM Indy Pace Car - It is 1 of 5700 Pace Cars built by Pontiac. These are some of the best looking Trans AM's of the late 2nd Gens. They were all built loaded with options. Even at that, there were 15 extra cost options that you could add onto your Pace Car and this one has most of them. That makes this a High Option Car. They also included the WS6 handling package and the unique 15x8 Turbo style wheels. 4 wheel disc brakes, heavy duty anti-sway bars and a high performance steering system. These were the first Turbo Powered cars Pontiac Built. These were a true industry leader. They are true road cars and if you have never experienced driving one, you are missing out. What they lacked in straight line performance, they make up for in a more balanced car and superb handling. They are really enjoyable to drive. This example is in way above average condition.
