1966 Dodge Coronet 440 HEMI - Documented Low Mile 5 - Speed HEMI!
There are a couple easy ways to stand out at a car show. You can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars building an ultra unique show car, or you can just buy a clean example of a body style that draws a crowd on its own. With its aggressive lines and tapered C-pillar, the fifth-generation Dodge Coronet is definitely one of those cars. When one features a laser straight body, show quality paint and a big block backed by a 5-speed, all the ingredients of a crowd pleaser are in place. Thanks to a rotisserie restoration, this 1966 Coronet 440 HEMI carries all those traits plus amenities such as a modern Tremec 5 - speed transmission. If you're in the market for a unique documented Mopar that will be a blast to own and drive, give this B-body a closer look.
When you go to car shows frequently, it's easy to forget that there are shades of yellow between pale and blinding. Dodge Yellow is one of those shades. It still possesses the magnetism of a softer yellow but attracts that attention without doing any retinal damage. Expertly sprayed over a remarkably straight body, this Coronet shows well from all angles. Panels are straight and fitment is significantly better than factory build quality. Glance underneath and you'll find that same glossy finish carries to the underside of the vehicle as well.

The Coronet is powered by a NOM 426 HEMI 2x4bbl engine, backed by Tremec 5 - speed manual transmission ( original was 833 4 - speed ), geared by a 9.75" axle with 3.54 ratio rear. Other options include Sure - Grip axle, AM Music Master radio ( now a AM/FM tuner by resto radio ), electric clock, padded sun visors and underhood pad. Finished in Dodge Yellow the paint is outstanding and is show quality throughout. The interior is equal quality and is highlighted by a wood steering wheel. NOS parts were supplied by Jim Drain. This car has only 42K actual miles and comes with title and owner history. This HEMI Coronet was found sitting in a field and has photos documenting the day it was dragged out. Documentation includes original owners manuals, original broadcast sheet, Chrysler registry papers, Chrysler punch cards, original fender tag, brochures and full binder with vintage and restoration photos. This a very nice high end restored HEMI car form the paint to the fit & finish down to the concours quality chrome and stainless. The car sits on Magnum chrome wheels with redline radial tires. This Coronet really runs and drives great and is a pleasure to drive.
With the stout 426 HEMI, 5-speed transmission, detailed undercarriage, and a beautiful vintage interior, someone has invested a great deal of time and money working this Coronet into its current condition. If you've always wanted a big block B-body, you won't find a better example for the price. Don't miss your chance to call this Coronet yours.
