1971 Chevrolet Camaro Resto-Mod
Why This Car Is Special
The beautiful 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Split Bumper Resto Mod painted in Hugger Orange we have here at Skyway Classics is a monster compared to an original '71. This Camaro is not for the faint of heart! It is an original SS Camaro as verified by the Z27 code on the Trim Tag and was also originally ordered in Burnt Orange with the black Custom Interior.
Mechanical
Our Camaro not only looks mean, but it has the power and sound to back it up! It is powered by a 355 cubic inch Small Block Chevy with aluminum heads, steel crank, X rods, Performance plumbing, Performance spark plug wires, Aluminum intake, a great cam and lifters, powder coated headers and full exhaust.
That would be enough to make it a real fast muscle car, bit ours is topped by a Procharger SB2 Supercharger with a performance Holley blow through carb! It is pump gas friendly and makes a bunch of ground pounding power. Make no mistake about it, it's not a race car, this was built with cruising in mind and going fast.
It is very well mannered and ready to go right off of idle. Shifting the automatic transmission is accomplished with a ratchet shifter in the console and power is transmitted to the 4.10 10-bolt Posi rear.
Interior
Inside our completely redone interior is a set of black leather bucket seats, center console, AM/FM radio, all of the important factory gauges were replaced with aftermarket performance ones, to keep an eye on the engine including. Everything else is super looking inside and is all protected by a roll cage for safety.
Exterior
The paint job on our Camaro is a brilliant shade of Burnt Orange. It was stripped down to bare metal before the paint was applied and appears very nice on the car. To complete the look, it has both a rear spoiler and front spoiler, the rare split-bumper, Cowl Induction Hood, SS badging, performance Traction bars/Rear sway bar, Dual exhaust system, wide polished racing mag wheels with Cooper performance tires with staggered sizing.
Conclusion
The 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Split Bumper Resto Mod painted in Hugger Orange we have here at Skyway Classics is a nice attention getter, but also has the mean looks and power to back it up on the street, shows, or on a drag strip.
This Camaro needs to be seen and driven to be appreciated.
