Car History
This 1972 Plymouth Cuda we have at Adventure Classics is a powerhouse of a muscle car with its MOPAR 440 cubic inch V8 modified engine with the iconic Six-Pack set of triple carbs, bright High Impact green paint, H.D. drive train, and a lot of rare options and features.
If you are a big MOPAR fan, you will know that Plymouth never offered this Cuda in that color and engine option back in 1972, and if you look real close you will see this one has the front end and body panels of a 1971 Cuda too.
This is a 1972 Barracuda that has been turned into the bear that it could have been in 1971 with the Six-Pack engine and A727 transmission.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our Cuda has the performance-built 440 cubic inch V8 modified engine with the iconic Six-Pack set of triple carbs as mentioned above, along with other go fast goodies like the Edelbrock intake, MSD distributor, long tube performance headers, power steering, front disc brakes, black finned MOPAR valve covers, correct Six-Pack Air Cleaner in factory painted orange with the 440+6 decal in place, performance coil, engine block painted the correct factory shade of orange, and all sitting in a professionally painted engine compartment that is body colored and very detailed and clean.
It is backed up by a Chrysler Torque Flight A727 three-speed automatic transmission with the chassis also cleaned and detailed. You can really hear the exhaust rumbling with its dual exhaust system behind the headers and coming out the rear thru the rectangular chrome exhaust tips underneath the bumper.
Interior
It has a clean black vinyl twin front high-back bucket seat interior with the matching rear seat, black carpet, center wood grain console with gear selector, sporty three-spoke steering wheel, factory dash with all the correct factory gauges plus accessory gauges underneath it too to keep track of all the engine functions, and the 120 mph speedometer too.
Exterior
In 1971, Plymouth painted the Cuda in a lot of wild and mod colors. This is one of them they called Sassy Grass Green. It has been professionally re-painted to a gloss sheen and stands out like you need to see to believe. The gloss paint flows over the straight body panels and the changed 1971 front end with the front bumper also painted to match.
Then you will see the performance mods like the hood pins, black vibrating Shaker hood scoop, the black billboard stripes on the sides of the rear fenders with the 440 engine decals, as well as the factory sport wheels and caps and the B.F. Goodrich performance Radial TA tires all the way around.
Conclusion
This 1972 Plymouth Cuda we have at Adventure Classics is one mean looking muscle car, but it also backs it up with the 44 Six-Pack engine and drivetrain. You will be the center of attention at any car show you go to as it will attract not only the MOPAR crowds but Muscle Car fans too.
